What is text-decoration-skip-ink?

It instructs the browser to interrupt underlines and overlines so they don't strike through the ascenders or descenders of characters.

Enabled by default in modern browsers (auto), it improves the legibility of links. When an underline passes through the tail of a 'g' or 'y', it creates a small gap. You can set it to none to force a strict, continuous line.
