Thread explosion occurs when too many concurrent tasks overwhelm system thread pool.

Dispatch queues create threads dynamically. If too many blocking or long-running tasks are dispatched concurrently, GCD creates excessive threads leading to context switching overhead, CPU saturation, and degraded performance.
