How does Spring Boot handle GC + container memory limit mismatch?

Mismatch causes JVM to misjudge available memory leading to OOMKills.

If JVM heap is configured without considering container memory limits, GC behavior becomes unstable. JVM may attempt to allocate beyond container limit leading to OOMKill by Kubernetes rather than Java exception.
