How does Swift handle reflection and why is it limited?

Swift supports reflection via Mirror but it is limited for performance and safety reasons.

Swift reflection allows inspecting type structure at runtime. However, it is intentionally limited to preserve performance and type safety. Unlike Objective-C runtime, Swift avoids deep dynamic introspection.
