Standard income tax rates are 20% up to EUR44,000 (single person) and 40% above that, but nearly all employees also pay the Universal Social Charge (USC) on top — a separate progressive levy ranging from 0.5% to 8% depending on income band.
Many US tech multinationals (Google, Meta, Stripe, HubSpot, Workday, Salesforce) use Dublin as their EMEA/EU headquarters, and larger employers typically offer relocation packages covering flights, temporary housing, and permit processing support. Dublin’s rental market is extremely tight with low vacancy and high rents.
